Practitioner Profile:
Renée came to health as a profession later in life.  It all began because of a small running group she organized with her friends while at the National Gallery.  She quickly discovered that teaching about exercise came naturally.  Since 1996, Renée has focused on helping people build internal awareness of their bodies.  She offers her clients a comprehensive approach to health care, drawing upon a wide range of skills to help bring balance to a person’s life.  Renée’s teaching style is very much about empowering the individual.  She measures success by how much her clients are able to incorporate what they learn, into their daily lives.   In 1997, Renée was introduced to a Japanese acupressure system called shiatsu.  Thus began a progressive journey of learning about, and experiencing Oriental Medicine.   Shiatsu and acupuncture are closely aligned, drawing upon identical meridian systems and both utilizing similar diagnostic skills.  Earning a Master’s degree in acupuncture has given Renée the tools to help her clients on a much broader and deeper level.

In every way, Renée embodies the lifestyle she teaches.  She has a regular movement practice that is based on variety; including agility training, weights, yoga, and pranayama.  Radiant health does not come without sound nutrition.  She consumes and thrives on a nutrient dense diet as outlined by the Weston A. Price Foundation and purchases all of her food from local farms year round.
