For most people, balance is a real concern. And the best way to prevent the injuries that can happen as a result of a fall, is to avoid the fall to begin with.
Balance-challenging moves are used throughout all exercise programs, what ever your age and physical condition. I employ "Active Balancing" exercises that require much more from a person than simply standing on one leg. This form of "Active Balance" asks far more from your nervous system, ancillary muscles and of course requires "presence of mind".
