Does Acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very thin, often not much thicker than a single strand of your hair. It is a relatively painless process. Some acupuncture points are more sensitive and often it is only the insertion that is accompanied by a strong sensation that quickly subsides. You are more likely to experience feelings of warmth, pressure, or tingling around the needle and/or a genuine sensation of movement inside the body. These are all appropriate and common sensations that accompany an acupuncture treatment.

Most people find acupuncture very relaxing, inducing states of calmness and even bliss.
